For anyone who can't breathe through their nose this is a game changer.
When I first used these they helped me sleep, however being obese my lips started to sweat and I struggled sleeping after the 4th night. The sleep strips help, but definitely do your research BEFORE buying. It’s best to buy ONE PACK first (non subscription) and test them out. Will recommend them but if you need a good nights sleep these are a temporary fix.
I am a 68 year old male with an annoying snore which stops my 65 year old wife from getting a decent nights sleep. To avoid resorting to seperate bedrooms our son told us about Respire and his success. First I tried the nasal strips which gave me so much more oxygen at night. I use the sleep watch app and started tracking my progress. Still my wife complained of my noises at night so my son told me to use the mouth tape. I ‘m not snoring as loudly and find breathing is fine. I was using a CPap but have stopped at the moment as my sleep pattern is good as I’m sleeping longer (up to 6 hrs nite) I wake up refreshed.
Having used micropore tape for many years, I find the Respire mouth strips far better. They fit to the shape of my mouth. The material is gentle on my skin. They stick well and I am sleeping well without waking up with a dry mouth & throat. Delighted with them.
I was very sceptical, having used just about every mouth strip out there I ended up using imported micropore tape, I am a chronic mouth breather and cpap user, I use nasal pillows and tape my mouth shut EVERY NIGHT otherwise I can't sleep. The only thing that kept my mouth shut all night was micropore tape, until I tried respire, for the first few nights I used micropore over the top of the respire strip so I could assure a nights sleep , I noticed the strip stayed put so last night I just used the strip and it held firmly all night, you turned a half hour nightly regime into a few minutes, thanks Respire you now have a lifetime customer.
The strip is brilliant and easy to apply,if ever there is a problem it is easy to open mouth so as not to cause panic,the strip is gentle on the skin and is easy to apply and remove with little fuss
The Nose Strips (along with the Mouth Strips) have I think made a significant difference and improvement to my overall sleep health. It has drastically reduced the dry mouth issue which in turn has improved my oral health and dental hygiene. In addition the purchase of the Breathing Drops has been a bonus. Mind you, I only need a few drops for it to be effective. It’s dynamite!
Effective and easy to use. My kids love these and have found they have a restful nights sleep using them. We have tried other tapes and found that the sticky bit stuck onto their mouths and irritated their skin. This mouth tape is effective and requires no effort to apply.
My reason for trying these is probably different from most. I use a CPAP machine with a chin strap to keep my mouth closed. I thought the strips would be an ideal substitute for the chin strap but a total mouth cover doesn’t work for me: not ideal if you cough….. and not ideal if you need to drink during the night. I’ve now cut each strip in half long-ways and stick my lips shut top-to-bottom and they kind of work. They’re not designed (apparently) to be pulled off and restuck. But I’ve kind of perfected it for me by wedging the top end under my CPAP nose pillow. Silver lining is I’m getting two uses out of one strip. Could be another product you could design and promote?
I’ve been using Respire mouth strips and have been pleasantly surprised by the difference they’ve made. They’re comfortable to wear, stay in place throughout the night, and have helped encourage nasal breathing while I sleep. I wake up feeling less dry mouthed and more refreshed.
I have been using Respire for nearly 2 years. I can’t say I love it, as I would prefer not to have to use it at all. However, having said that, it has made a big difference in that I don’t have the dry mouth and no sudden snorts because I’ve stopped breathing etc. I have sleep apnea and although this product will never cure that, it does increase my oxygen levels which is a bonus. I find that sticking it on my arm before applying it to my lips is what suits me because the skin around the mouth is sensitive and does not feel like you are tearing your lips off when removing the tape.
I love these. I’ve been using for a few weeks now and my sleep is SO. much better , I didn’t realise I must be a mouth breather in sleep. I don’t wake with a sore throat from snoring either. Am using another brand too ( to compare). which are equally as good and are a bit cheaper so I’ve yet to buy more of either as I have plenty of both.

Unlike the usual reason people wear mouth strips, mine is to assist with grinding my teeth. I have ground my teeth all of my adult life, I visit the dentist, on average every 6 weeks & have worn a splint to sleep, always! I lost it when travelling 12 months ago & thought I would try another method before spending $100’s of dollars to replace it yet again. I used another brand initially, which left a black ring around my mouth & took my skin off when I removed it. After some research I came across Respire! I've just started using my nose strips & the mouth tapes. I'm already familiar with taping my mouth for many years,having learned Buteyko Breathing techniques decades ago. I have always been a mouth breather. Over two years ago I read a book about breath, and learnt about taping the mouth closed during sleep. It made a huge difference to my quality of sleep. For two years I have been using ordinary surgical paper tape. Effective to a medium degree, but not the best. A couple of months ago I tried Respire. I saw it in Woolworths which was handy. Respire is so much better than the tape I have been using. No sticky residue on my lips as the tape was leaving, and easy to apply and remove. Yet stays on all night. So I ordered more online. I also bought the nose strips but haven't tried them yet. So far, very happy with Respire mouth tape.
Almost two years of usage and I am overall happy with the Respire nose strips. Have tried other brands, this one seems to have the right glue which stays on the skin overnight and if peeled slowly top to bottom, doesn't irritate the skin. I rely on these strips as they make a difference to the amount of air that can get past my deviated septum. I have noticed that breathing related illness is also less frequent. Same for the mouth/Sleep Strips - a very good product and serves well as a midway (non surgical) solution to better night time breathing.
Been using sleep strips for almost a couple of years now. I am a mouth breather when sleeping, I like that it helps with waking with a less dry mouth, and snoring is minimised. I don't know about them changing the shape of my jaw which has been mentioned. And I don't like the idea of using these for the rest of my life. But they are a good alternative to surgery. They are comfortable on. I have sensitive aging skin and the glue is quite good, I use a little moisturiser on my lips before applying, and when taking off I peel slowly from top down. For those who worry about the thought of having their mouth covered overnight - really not a problem - they are still 'breathable', and I recommend practicing wearing during the day to get used to the sensation and calm any nerves. Overall a very good product, thank you.
